I started my Journey with Stampin’ Up! in August 2009. Signing up under Linda Bales, a demonstrator in Didsbury that my sister Linda knew. My business was just a hobby for quite sometime, although I branded it with the Karied Away Stamping name. The Karied was a play on my last name of Kariel which people seemed to have trouble remembering.
I recruited and advanced to Silver Title in Aug 2015. I started adding team members, and the decision was made to call my team Karied Away Stampers. By August 2018 my team had grown to 6 and I promoted to Silver Elite, walking across the stage in November at Orlando Onstage celebrating the 30th Anniversary of Stampin’ Up!
I was so impressed by the amazing range of talent in my team; It inspired me to think of a new team model. I felt that collaborating at the studio and sharing a team page and website might help us attract customers outside our local area. Our diversity would be part of our attraction. People are free to take classes from a mixture of us with the projects suiting their needs.
